AAP’s Sanjay Singh slams LPG price hike, accuses Centre of fuelling inflation

AAP’s Sanjay Singh has once again taken a strong stance against the Centre’s policies, this time slamming the recent hike in LPG prices. The Aam Aadmi Party leader accused the government of deliberately fuelling inflation and burdening the common people with the increasing cost of essential commodities.

In a press conference held on Tuesday, Sanjay Singh expressed his disappointment over the sharp rise in LPG prices. He highlighted that the price of a 14.2 kg LPG cylinder has now reached an all-time high of Rs 819 in Delhi, causing major distress to the middle and lower-income families. He further added that the government’s move to increase the LPG prices by Rs 25 in less than a month has put an additional burden of Rs 300 on the common man.

The AAP leader also raised concerns about the impact of this price hike on women, who are the primary users of LPG cylinders for cooking purposes. He stated that this increase is a direct attack on the women of our country, who are already facing a lot of challenges due to the ongoing pandemic. With the rising unemployment and economic slowdown, the increase in LPG prices will only add to the financial burden on households, especially the ones headed by single mothers or widows.

Sanjay Singh did not shy away from calling out the Centre’s failure in controlling the inflation rate. He claimed that the government’s policies have led to an increase in the prices of essential commodities, including LPG, which has a direct impact on the lives of the common people. He also questioned the rationale behind the continuous increase in fuel prices, which has a cascading effect on the cost of transportation and daily commodities. Singh accused the government of being insensitive towards the struggles of the common man and prioritizing the interests of big corporations.

The AAP leader also highlighted the contrast between the Centre’s policies and the Delhi government’s actions. He pointed out that the AAP government has provided substantial relief to the people of Delhi by reducing the VAT on diesel and petrol, despite the Centre’s reluctance to do so. He also reminded the public that the Delhi government has been providing free LPG cylinders to eligible families under its flagship scheme, ‘Mukhyamantri COVID-19 Sahayata Yojana’, which has helped ease the burden on many households during these challenging times.

Sanjay Singh appealed to the Centre to reconsider its decision to hike the LPG prices and take immediate measures to control the inflation rate. He urged the government to put the welfare of the people above everything else and take steps to provide relief to the common man, who is already struggling to make ends meet.

The Aam Aadmi Party has been consistently raising its voice against the Centre’s policies, which have been detrimental to the interests of the people. The party has been at the forefront of the fight against rising fuel prices, which have been a major cause of concern for the citizens of the country. The recent LPG price hike has only added to the woes of the people, and the AAP is determined to fight for their rights and provide them with the necessary support.

In conclusion, Sanjay Singh’s strong criticism of the LPG price hike reflects the sentiments of the common man, who is bearing the brunt of the Centre’s policies. The AAP leader’s strong stance against the government’s actions is a ray of hope for the people, who are looking for a leader to stand up for their welfare. It is high time for the Centre to listen to the voices of the people and take necessary steps to alleviate their struggles instead of burdening them with increasing prices.
