On Thursday’s “Alex Marlow Show,” host and Breitbart Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow stepped up to defend First Lady Melania Trump against recent attacks from former TV host Keith Olbermann. In an interview with Breitbart, Marlow asserted that despite Olbermann’s claims, Melania is indeed a movie star in her own right, and her recent accomplishments prove it.
The heated exchange began when Olbermann took to Twitter to criticize Melania’s recent appearance in a documentary about her life. The documentary, entitled “Being Melania: The First Lady,” premiered on Monday and drew in an impressive $1 million in box office sales. Olbermann, however, scoffed at the film’s success, tweeting, “Melania Trump – a movie star? She can barely speak English!”
Marlow, known for his unapologetically conservative stance, was quick to fire back. He defended Melania’s English skills, pointing out that she speaks multiple languages fluently, something that many Americans cannot claim. He also highlighted the fact that her documentary drew in impressive numbers, even competing against major Hollywood releases.
“Well, Melania is absolutely a movie star, and she’s triggering people, too, in the process,” Marlow declared. “Her documentary generated $1 million in box office sales, which is no small feat, especially considering the timing of its release.”
Indeed, the documentary’s release sparked plenty of controversy and attention, with some critics accusing Melania of trying to capitalize on her position as First Lady. However, Marlow argued that the success of the film proves that Americans are interested in learning more about Melania as a person, not just as the wife of President Trump.
“Melania’s story is one of determination, resilience, and success,” Marlow continued. “She came to this country as an immigrant, worked hard, and earned her place as First Lady. Her story is inspiring, and it’s no wonder that so many people want to see it on the big screen.”
Marlow also took the opportunity to address Olbermann’s comments about Melania’s English skills, calling the criticism “ridiculous and unfair.” He pointed out that Melania has been in the public eye for many years now and has given numerous speeches and interviews in English with clarity and confidence.
“It’s just another example of the hypocrisy and double standards from the left,” Marlow argued. “If a liberal First Lady was the subject of a documentary and spoke multiple languages, they would be hailed as a global icon. But because it’s Melania and she happens to be married to President Trump, they try to diminish her accomplishments.”
Marlow concluded by saying that despite the constant attacks and criticism, Melania continues to rise above it and focus on the important issues she is passionate about, such as her “Be Best” campaign against cyberbullying and opioid addiction.
“So, sorry Keith Olbermann, Melania Trump absolutely is a movie star,” Marlow firmly stated. “Her documentary’s success is just one example of her star power and influence. And I have no doubt that she will continue to make a positive impact as First Lady.”
In the end, Marlow’s defense of Melania as a movie star is not just about her recent documentary’s success, but about celebrating her individual achievements and recognizing her as a role model for millions of Americans. Despite the negative attention and attacks, Melania remains a shining example of grace, elegance, and strength, and that is something to be commended.
