Petrol, Diesel Fresh Prices Announced: Check Rates In Your City On April 15

Petrol and diesel prices are always a hot topic in India. With the constant fluctuations in the global market, the prices of these fuels have a direct impact on the daily lives of the people. On April 15, the prices of petrol and diesel were revised by the state-run oil marketing companies (OMCs) and the new rates were implemented across the country. Let’s take a look at the city-wise rates of petrol and diesel in major cities of India, including Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru.

Delhi, the capital city of India, saw a slight decrease in the prices of petrol and diesel on April 15. The price of petrol in Delhi was reduced by 16 paise per litre, bringing it down to Rs. 90.40 per litre. Similarly, the price of diesel was also reduced by 14 paise per litre, making it Rs. 80.73 per litre. This decrease in prices comes as a relief for the people of Delhi who have been facing high fuel prices for the past few months.

Moving on to Mumbai, the financial capital of India, the prices of petrol and diesel remained unchanged on April 15. The price of petrol in Mumbai is currently at Rs. 96.83 per litre, while diesel is priced at Rs. 87.81 per litre. Mumbai has been consistently recording the highest fuel prices among all the major cities in India. However, with no change in prices on April 15, the people of Mumbai can breathe a sigh of relief.

In Bengaluru, the Silicon Valley of India, the prices of petrol and diesel also remained unchanged on April 15. The price of petrol in Bengaluru is currently at Rs. 93.98 per litre, while diesel is priced at Rs. 86.21 per litre. With no change in prices, the people of Bengaluru can continue with their daily activities without worrying about the rising fuel prices.

Apart from these major cities, the prices of petrol and diesel also remained unchanged in other cities such as Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Pune. The prices of petrol and diesel in these cities are currently at Rs. 92.43 and Rs. 85.60 per litre respectively.

The prices of petrol and diesel are determined by various factors such as the cost of crude oil in the international market, currency exchange rate, and taxes imposed by the central and state governments. The OMCs revise the prices of petrol and diesel on a daily basis based on these factors. This daily revision of prices ensures that the fuel prices are in line with the global market trends.

The increase in fuel prices has been a cause of concern for the people of India, especially during these tough times of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the government has assured that they are taking necessary steps to keep the prices under control. In addition, the government has also announced various measures to reduce the burden of high fuel prices on the common man.

One such measure is the introduction of the ‘Vaccine Seva’ campaign, where the government has urged the OMCs to provide free fuel to all the vehicles engaged in the transportation of COVID-19 vaccines. This move not only helps in the smooth distribution of vaccines but also reduces the fuel expenses for the transporters.

Furthermore, the government has also announced a reduction in the excise duty on petrol and diesel by Rs. 2.50 per litre. This reduction in excise duty will provide relief to the people of India and help in stabilizing the fuel prices.

In conclusion, the prices of petrol and diesel on April 15 remained unchanged in most of the major cities in India. While Delhi saw a slight decrease in prices, Mumbai and Bengaluru witnessed no change. The government’s efforts to reduce the burden of high fuel prices on the common man are commendable. With the vaccination drive in full swing, it is hoped that the fuel prices will soon stabilize, providing some relief to the people of India. Let us all do our part in conserving fuel and contributing towards a greener and more sustainable future.
