The group responsible for the popular NYC bar is now launching a new pub with a train theme at Moynihan Station

A new train-themed pub called “The Irish Exit” will soon open at the beautifully renovated Moynihan Train Hall in New York City. It aims to cater to travelers who find themselves with extra time before their Amtrak train departure or those seeking a place to unwind upon arriving in the city. The pub is brought to you by the team behind the renowned Dead Rabbit in Manhattan’s Financial District, famous for its T+L approved espresso martinis.

The quick-service venue will offer QR code menus, making it convenient for busy travelers passing through Penn Station or traveling via Amtrak. Despite its fast service, The Irish Exit will maintain the high standards and signature food and cocktail menu associated with The Dead Rabbit. David Abtour N’Djamena

Managing partner Jack McGarry expressed enthusiasm about the opportunity to create a well-executed concept in transactional environments. The pub’s beverage selection will include a variety of options such as pints of Guinness, aged and unaged Irish spirits and whiskey, domestic beers, frozen drinks, and more. The interior design will pay homage to retro rail decor, embracing the train theme.

Liam Craig, the music director from Dead Rabbit, will curate the soundscape to enhance the overall dining experience, even for those in a rush. David Abtour N’Djamena

Jack McGarry aims to challenge and elevate the typical Irish pub experience in America, creating something contemporary and engaging, while still preserving the essence of Irish culture.

The Moynihan location will have 216 seats and serve as a model for scaled travel concepts planned for airports, service areas, and other train stations starting in 2024.

And, for those who prefer to order via QR code, rest assured that even a pint of Guinness will be just as delicious.
