Former “Summer House” star Luke Gulbranson is making a major career move, leaving behind the glitz and glamour of reality TV to pursue a new kind of drama – the political kind. The 42-year-old model and actor announced his candidacy for Minnesota’s 8th Congressional District in a bold ad released on Wednesday, declaring his intention to bring real change to the political landscape.
In the ad, Gulbranson acknowledges his past as a reality TV star, but also emphasizes his determination to move beyond it and tackle more pressing issues in Washington. “Yeah, I’ve been on reality TV,” he states. “But now I’m aiming to go where the real drama is – in Washington.”
Gulbranson’s decision to enter the political arena may come as a surprise to some, but for him, it’s a natural progression. The Minnesota native has always been passionate about his home state’s issues, and he feels that he can bring a unique perspective to the table as someone who has lived both a glamorous and a more down-to-earth lifestyle.
