Baird says wife now out of hospital too after car crash

Rep. Jim Baird (R-Ind.) announced on Monday that his wife is now out of the hospital after being involved in a car accident last week. In a statement, the congressman expressed his gratitude for the outpouring of prayers and support his family has received during this difficult time.

“My wife and I are both out of the hospital and continuing to recover,” Rep. Baird said. “We are overwhelmed by the kindness and well-wishes that have been sent our way. It truly means the world to us.”

The congressman’s wife was involved in a car accident on Thursday, July 15, in Indiana. She was immediately taken to the hospital with serious injuries and was joined by Rep. Baird, who sustained minor injuries in the crash. Both have since been released from the hospital and are now focusing on their recovery.

Rep. Baird, a veteran and former farmer, has been serving Indiana’s 4th congressional district since 2019. He is known for his dedication to improving the lives of his constituents and his commitment to serving his country. This accident, however, has shown that he is not only a dedicated congressman but also a loving husband and family man.

The outpouring of support for the Baird family has been overwhelming, with many offering prayers and well-wishes for their speedy recovery. The congressman expressed his deep appreciation for everyone who has reached out to him and his family during this challenging time.

“I cannot thank everyone enough for the kind words and prayers that have been sent our way,” Rep. Baird stated. “It has been a difficult few days, but the support we have received has given us the strength to keep moving forward.”

He also took the opportunity to thank the first responders and medical staff who helped his wife and himself after the accident. Their quick and professional response played a vital role in the recovery of the Baird family.

Rep. Baird’s wife is currently at home, and the congressman is there to take care of her and continue his own recovery. But he assures his constituents that he will continue to work tirelessly on their behalf, despite this setback.

“I am grateful for the understanding and support of my colleagues during this time,” Rep. Baird said. “I will continue to fulfill my duties as a congressman, and I am looking forward to getting back to work and serving my constituents to the best of my abilities.”

In closing, Rep. Baird once again expressed his heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has sent their prayers and support to him and his family.

“Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your well-wishes,” he said. “My family and I are determined to come back stronger and more united than ever before. We truly appreciate the love and support shown to us during this challenging time.”
