‘Russia Not Defeated’ Putin Says Achieved Goals in Syria, Israel ‘Main beneficiary’ Of Assad Ouster

Russian President Vladimir Putin has made a statement regarding the recent events in Syria, stating that the fall of ex-Syrian President Bashar al-Assad was not a “defeat” for Russia. This comes after Assad fled to Moscow earlier this month following a shock rebel advance that ended the Assad family’s half a century of rule. Putin also mentioned that he has yet to meet with Assad in Moscow, but plans to do so soon.

During a press conference, the Kremlin leader addressed the situation in Syria and expressed his views on the matter. He stated that the fall of Assad does not mean a defeat for Russia, as the country’s main goal was to stabilize the situation in Syria and fight against terrorism. Putin also emphasized that Russia’s military intervention in Syria was at the request of the Syrian government and was aimed at protecting the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Furthermore, Putin mentioned that he will be discussing the case of American journalist Austin Tice, who went missing in Syria 12 years ago, with Assad. He stated that Russia is willing to assist in the search for Tice and will do everything in its power to help find him. This shows Russia’s commitment to humanitarian efforts and its willingness to work with the new administration in Syria.

In addition, Putin also addressed the issue of Russia’s military bases in Syria. He stated that Russia has suggested the “humanitarian use” of these bases to the country’s new administration. This could potentially provide much-needed aid and support to the Syrian people who have been affected by the ongoing conflict. It also shows Russia’s willingness to work with the new government and help rebuild the country.

During the press conference, Putin also touched upon the role of other countries in the Syrian conflict. He stated that Israel is the main beneficiary of the events taking place in Syria. This statement highlights the fact that some countries may have their own interests in the region, and it is important to consider the consequences of their actions.

Moreover, Putin also mentioned that Turkey has no plans to halt its military activity in Syria until Kurdish fighters are disarmed. This statement comes after Turkey’s recent military offensive in northern Syria, which has caused tension between the two countries. Putin’s statement shows his concern for the safety and well-being of the Kurdish people and the need for a peaceful resolution to the conflict.

In conclusion, Putin’s statement regarding the fall of Assad and the situation in Syria shows Russia’s commitment to stability and peace in the region. The Russian president’s willingness to work with the new administration in Syria and provide humanitarian aid showcases the country’s humanitarian efforts. It also highlights the importance of cooperation and dialogue in resolving conflicts. With Russia’s support, it is hoped that the situation in Syria will improve and the country can begin to rebuild and move towards a peaceful future.
