MIT SHASS announces appointment of new heads for 2024-25

The School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences at our esteemed institution has always been a hub of diverse academic disciplines and research endeavors. It is with great pleasure that we announce the appointment of new heads across multiple academic units within this distinguished school.

In line with our commitment to delivering innovative and high-quality education, the newly appointed heads bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to their respective roles. Their expertise and leadership will undoubtedly contribute towards the continued excellence of our school.

Dr. Maria Rodriguez has been appointed as the new head of the Department of Languages and Linguistics. With a PhD in Linguistics from a renowned university, Dr. Rodriguez has a long-standing passion for the study of languages and a deep understanding of their cultural significance. Her research and teaching experience, coupled with her dynamic leadership style, will surely elevate the department to new heights.

Dr. John Smith, a well-respected scholar in the field of History, will be taking over as the head of the Department of Humanities.
