The Minister of Energy and Water convened a gathering with the Counselor representing the United States Government

On February 14th, Minister João Baptista Borges of the Ministry of Energy and Water, accompanied by Energy Secretary António Belsa da Costa, received Danae Pauli, who serves as the Counselor for the “Global Partnership for Infrastructure and Investment” program under the United States Government. Also present was Ambassador Agostinho Van-Dúnem, representing Angola to the United States of America.

The meeting centered on the integration of high-voltage transmission/transportation line projects in the Southern and Eastern regions within the Lobito Corridor framework. Additionally, topics included preparations for the Strategic Energy Dialogue, assistance from the Power Africa Program, and the second phase of the Sun Africa project for the installation of Solar Parks in the country.

It’s important to highlight that the GPII, a governmental institution, is involved in implementing and operationalizing Lobito Corridor projects.
