For the prestigious Triple Crown, the team of Ellerstina Yellow Rose, featuring the Pieres siblings, was launched

At the prestigious Enero Costanera venue in Buenos Aires, the Pieres brothers, Gonzalo and Nicolás, alongside newcomers Bautista Bayugar and Ignatius Du Plessis, unveiled their Ellerstina Yellow Rose lineup for the upcoming Argentine polo season. The event showcased the team’s latest jersey and offered an opportunity for the players to express their ambitions for the upcoming year. Gonzalo Pieres expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “We’re eager to kick off the season with our revamped team. Our objective is to start strong and consistently strive for excellence,” in the presence of various distinguished individuals.

This season, the renowned Ellerstina squad, with a significant track record of achievements including multiple Argentine Polo Open championships, receives support from Yellow Rose, a club established in 1996 in Punta del Este by Jorge “Corcho” Rodríguez. Rodríguez, alongside his partner Vero Lozano and other notable figures, celebrated this unveiling.

Yellow Rose plays a crucial role in enriching the global polo landscape, operating across Argentina and Uruguay. Since 2021, it has expanded its polo activities in Argentina through a strategic partnership with Ellerstina. This collaboration brings together a dynamic and talented team, filled with enthusiasm and supported by a robust organizational structure that nurtures player development and future success. Despite Facundo Pieres’ departure to La Natividad this season, the team—comprising Nicolas Pieres, Bautista Bayugar, Gonzalo Pieres, and “Nachi” Du Plessis—boasts an impressive 35-goal handicap. The team is eagerly aiming for victories in the Argentine Triple Crown, which includes prestigious events such as the Hurlingham Open, Tortugas Open, and the Argentine Open Polo Championship.

Sponsors for Ellerstina in this venture include Yellow Rose, Jeep, Gibson, and RUS, with additional support from AlUla, Stella Artois, Sierra de los Padres, Enero Restaurant, Johnnie Walker, Clos de los Siete, and Aconcagua.

Furthermore, Yellow Rose is renowned for its commitment to social causes and the promotion of equestrian sports. It hosts esteemed charity events that blend high-level polo with music and community support, attracting top polo talents and raising funds for social projects. Distinguished Argentine polo players such as Polito Pieres, Ignacio Figueras, Gonzalo Pieres, Bartolomé “Barto” Castagnola, Mariano Aguerre, Facundo Pieres, and Pablo Llorente have participated in these initiatives.

In 2021, the club organized a significant event in Punta del Este, endorsed by the Argentine and Uruguayan Polo Associations, bringing together the elite of polo to support the Marabo Sports and Social Club in General Rodríguez, Buenos Aires province. Yellow Rose’s dedication to social welfare is also evident through its collaboration with the Compromiso Foundation and the General Rodríguez Municipality. The club offers a complimentary training program for individuals over 16, focusing on digital skills such as Marketing, E-commerce, and Programming. The 2023 season marks a milestone for the club as it assumes the role of the primary sponsor of Ellerstina in the Triple Crown, reaffirming the shared values of family, friendship, and sportsmanship upheld by Yellow Rose.
