Claudia Sheinbaum, the National Coordinator of the Committees for the Defense of the Fourth Transformation, took part in the 15th Congress of the Autonomous Confederation of Workers and Employees of Mexico (CATEM).

During the congress, she garnered the support of 194 organizations and unions nationwide.

Held at the Mexico City Arena, CATEM revealed its intention to establish 10 thousand Committees for the Defense of Labor Transformation. These committees aim to raise awareness about the initiatives of the Fourth Transformation (4T) throughout the country, with a particular emphasis on initiatives benefiting workers.

“I am delighted to formalize this significant partnership with CATEM,” stated Claudia Sheinbaum at the event. She also reiterated her commitment to advocating for labor rights.

“I assure the workers of Mexico that we will continue to safeguard wages and labor benefits because we recognize that the well-being of workers contributes to the prosperity of employers and the nation.
