No practice, two-day New Year break for Rohit Sharma & Co after defeat in IND vs SA Test

Team India have decided to take a two-day New Year break post their humiliating defeat in the IND vs SA 1st Test at Centurion on Thursday. Rather than getting back on the grind for the second Test, the Men in Blue have decided to take a break to recover from the loss.

It was tough defeat to swallow for Rohit Sharma and Co. who were eyeing to conquer their final frontier.

However, their hopes of winning their first Test series in Rainbow Nation were crushed and buried after the Indian batters surrendered on Day 3.

That's that from the Test at Centurion.

South Africa win by an innings and 32 runs, lead the series 1-0.

Apart from the frail batting, India’s bowling turned out to be the biggest disappointment as they failed to utilise the challenging Centurion pitch and conceded 408.

Except for Bumrah, who claimed four wickets, all the other bowlers, including debutant Prasidh Krishna, failed to create any trouble for the Proteas batsmen.

While Team India have a lot of gaping holes to fill before their second Test at Newlands, the management wants to make sure that the squad recovers mentally from the heavy defeat and start from scratch.
