South Africa’s veteran Test cricketer, Dean Elgar played his farewell innings on Day 1 of the IND vs SA 2nd Test at Cape Town on Wednesday.

As bizarre it might sound, both of Elgar’s innings came in on the same day.

The stand-in skipper scored 4 in his first innings and 12 in the second as he bid adieu to international cricket.

The 36-year-old received a heartfelt send off from the Indian players. Virat Kohli gave a warm hug to the Elgar as he walked back towards the dressing room.
