DY Patil, Wankhede labelled ‘Very Good’ by ICC, Fate of Newlands pitch hangs on balance

The India Women’s Cricket Team played two one-off matches against England and Australia. While the India eves dominated both the Test matches to win in a convincing manner. The ICC match referee GS Lakshmi has rated both the pitches of the DY Patil and the Wankhede Stadium as ‘Very Good’.

On the other hand, The ICC is yet to reveal the pitch rating for Newlands Pitch of Cape Town. The Cape Town pitch came under the scanner after the New Years Test, i.e IND vs AUS 2nd Test finished after 1.5 days.

On the other hand, Chris Broad, the ICC men’s referee is yet to give his verdict for the Newlands pitch. After the match concluded within 1.5 days and the a record of 23 wickets falling on the first day 1, cricket pundits criticised CSA.

Reports claim that the Newlands pitch can get sanctions and demit points. Such was the condition of the pitch that the pacers had field day. The match got over in 5 sessions and made it’s way into the history books by becoming the shortest Test match ever.
