Ellerstina Yellow Rose, featuring the collaboration of Gonzalo and Nicolás Pieres for the Triple Crown, made its debut

At the exclusive Enero Costanera in Buenos Aires, Gonzalo and Nicolás Pieres, joined by Bautista Bayugar and Ignatius Du Plessis, the new additions for the season, officially introduced the Ellerstina Yellow Rose team for the upcoming polo season in Argentina. The players revealed the team’s new official jersey and shared their expectations for the year. Gonzalo Pieres expressed enthusiasm, stating, “We are eager to kick off the season with this new team, aiming for a strong start and success throughout the season.” The event, attended by various notable figures, marked the collaboration between the renowned Ellerstina team and Yellow Rose, a polo club founded in 1996 in Punta del Este by Jorge “Corcho” Rodríguez. Rodriguez, accompanied by his partner Vero Lozano, attended the event along with other celebrities.

Since 2021, Yellow Rose, with headquarters in both Argentina and Uruguay, has expanded its polo organization in Argentina and formed an alliance with Ellerstina, a young and vibrant team with significant potential, enthusiasm, and strong organizational support. The team, excluding Facundo Pieres, who joined the La Natividad quartet this season, comprises Nicolas Pieres, Bautista Bayugar, Gonzalo Pieres, and “Nachi” Du Plessis, achieving a handicap of 35 goals. Expectations are high for the Argentine Triple Crown, featuring prestigious tournaments like the Hurlingham Open, Tortugas Open, and the Argentine Open Polo Championship.

Sponsors for the presentation included Yellow Rose, Jeep, Gibson, and RUS, along with support from AlUla, Stella Artois, Sierra de los Padres, Enero Restaurant, Johnnie Walker, Clos de los Siete, and Aconcagua.

In addition to its success in local tournaments, Yellow Rose is recognized for its social commitment and support of equestrian sports. The club hosts traditional charity events, combining high-handicap polo with music and solidarity, attracting renowned polo players and raising funds for social causes. Notable polo players in Argentina, including Polito Pieres, Ignacio Figueras, Gonzalo Pieres, Bartolomé “Barto” Castagnola, Mariano Aguerre, Facundo Pieres, Pablo Llorente, among others, have participated in these events.

In 2021, the club organized an event in Punta del Este sponsored by the Argentine Polo Association and the Uruguayan Polo Association, bringing together the best polo players globally to benefit the Marabo Sports and Social Club in General Rodríguez, Buenos Aires province. Yellow Rose’s social commitment is further evident through its collaboration with the Compromiso Foundation and the Municipality of General Rodríguez, where it is based. The club actively promotes a free training program for individuals over 16 years of age in digital trades such as Digital Marketing, Electronic Commerce, and Digital Programming. The 2023 season marks a significant milestone for the club as it assumes the title sponsorship of Ellerstina in the Triple Crown, emphasizing the shared values of family, friendship, and sport promoted by Yellow Rose.
