Cristiano Ronaldo is set to appear in the WWE Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia this winter. The event is scheduled for November. Ronaldo is the biggest football icon in the world. He went to Iran for an AFC Champions League fixture and fans went crazy. WWE is considering his fan power and wants to feature him in their event.

Ronaldo has given a new life to the Saudi Pro League and his arrival in Saudi Arabia did not just boost football but also increased the revenue of the league. We have seen the influence of Saudi clubs in the European market and many big names decided to come here which has promoted Pro League in the world.

If we look back to the Saudi Pro League, Ronaldo’s arrival really pushed them in revenue and popularity. He made a winter move for USD 215 million and signed a new contract with Al Nassr. This signing boosted the entire football market in the Middle East. The summer transfer window was just an example of how Ronaldo gives big value to the Pro League. This league has gained viewership across the world. Broadcasting revenues have been increased. Social media activities have been improved.

WWE is also looking to gain the opportunity through Ronaldo to make their events popular in the Middle East. WWE’s new owners, Endeavor, are planning to strengthen Crown Jewel’s profile and potential revenue. They picked Ronaldo for the event because, at present, he is the biggest ambassador of football in this country. Endeavor also have a plan to make the deal a lucrative one for the Portuguese. They are ready to pay Ronaldo a huge appearance fee.

WWE has organised the Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia four times. The first event was held in 2018 and the most recent was held in 2023 which was titled the Night of Champions. Ronaldo’s fan following in world sports is huge. WWE can promote their event in a larger way to attract more audience.
