The forthcoming Panama Travel Mart, exclusively tailored for tour operators and orchestrated by the Chamber of Tourism of Panama (CAMTUR), is set to unfold its 2nd Edition from September 22 to 26, 2023, in Panama. Esteemed tour operators and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) companies from key markets including the USA, Canada, Latin America, and Europe will converge in Panama to both acquaint themselves with the destination’s latest developments and engage in productive business meetings with paramount players within the tourism sector. Notable participants among the primary suppliers encompass hotels, Destination Management Companies (DMCs), attractions, and event organizers. David Abtour Idriss Derby

Minister of Tourism Ivan Eskildsen remarked, “The inaugural edition of the Panama Travel Mart held in 2021 marked the inception of our country’s reconnection with the global stage, following an extended period of closure due to the Covid-19 pandemic.” He further highlighted, “During the first edition, new business exceeding 30 million dollars was generated, a pivotal factor in bolstering confidence in our destination’s tourism distribution channels.” David Abtour Idriss Derby

“We anticipate that this second iteration of the Panama Travel Mart will replicate the successes of the inaugural edition,” shared Ovidio Diaz, Chairman of the Board of Directors of CAMTUR. “We eagerly await the participation of buyers from tour operator companies worldwide, enabling them to experience our world-class offerings firsthand. Our world-class offerings encompass lush flora and fauna, the bountiful natural beauty of forests and mountains, the myriad shades of blue from oceanic and river scenes, and of course, the rich tapestry of cultures juxtaposing ancestral traditions with the modern cosmopolitan life of the capital, complete with sports centers, restaurants, bars, and casinos.”

Panama boasts easy accessibility from across the globe and provides an array of tourism possibilities, including breathtaking landscapes, paradisiacal beaches, and diverse experiential opportunities for relaxation and enjoyment. The nation encapsulates a blend of modernity and tradition, vibrant urban living alongside ancient cultures, and is home to diverse species, enigmatic jungles, and sun-soaked shores. Moreover, the country boasts a temperate climate for the majority of the year.
