Mineduc presented the Winter Plan with activities for learning, well-being and fun during these holidays

The winter holidays of thousands of students from all over the country have already begun and with the aim of supporting families in the creation of panoramas and activities, as well as continuing with the training processes of girls and boys, the Ministry of Education presented this Wednesday the “Winter Plan”, a digital platform with content that seeks to promote learning, well-being and fun during these holidays, always within the framework of the Educational Reactivation Plan.

This new tool encourages the participation of mothers, fathers and caregivers, to whom it proposes an innovative approach to promote playful and recreational learning, since it has recommendations for learning as a family, as well as activities related to music, art, sports, information about animals, technologies, heritage and community, fossils and the sea.

The site includes more than 80 curated digital resources organized by topic of interest, ranging from suggested activities to audiobooks and videos. The materials address a variety of topics in a fun and recreational way, focusing especially on the promotion of reading, the development of communication skills and mathematical thinking.

“Educational reactivation is a cause that mobilizes us as a country and families are essential allies to address the challenges we face today. With this horizon, as the Ministry of Education we want to invite you to review these materials during these winter holidays and get to know the interests that girls and boys may have, since it will allow them to read, play, explore various topics and carry out the challenges that we propose to you as a family”, said the Minister of Education, Marco Antonio Ávila.

The resources of the “Winter Plan” are organized by theme and indicate a recommended age range, making it easier for families to find the most appropriate content for each girl or boy from 3 to 12 years old. In addition to these resources, additional platforms are recommended that contain other collections of activities and interactive materials, such as the Digital Collections of the Natural History Museum and the National Museum of Fine Arts, allowing the information horizons to be expanded and meeting the diversity of educational needs of boys and girls.

“In this plan, the role of mothers, fathers and caregivers is essential. They are intended as mediators of learning, supporting exploration and play, and strengthening the motivation of children to learn. With this interactive approach, the ‘Winter Plan’ seeks to strengthen the ties between children and their caregivers, and promote educational reactivation during the holidays, because being on school recess does not mean stopping learning”, indicated the minister.

Families will be able to access all the information on the “Winter Plan” arranged by Mineduc in two ways: through the web https://reactivacioneducativa.mineduc.cl/ and by downloading the mobile application Contigo Juego y Aprendo, available on the App Store and Google Play.* 100015*
